The vine is grown in rows to enable the operation of machinery and equipment to facilitate the realization of cultural practices, associated with deciduous plants characteristics promotes peculiar environment for growth and development of different weed species during the year. In temperate climate of altitude in São Joaquim, Santa Catarina State, southern Brazil there is a lack of studies on weed surveys. The objective of this work was to evaluate the weed community during the period of vegetative growth in commercial vineyards located at 1200 to 1400 m a.s.l. in the city of São Joaquim, during the season 2017/18. The evaluated vineyards were planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, trained in VSP, which were managed with post-emergent herbicide applications during the growing season. The experiment had factorial design (4x 7), with five replications. The treatments consisted of 4 evaluations performed every 60 days in the first two weeks of September, November, January and March, in previously demarcated areas, in which were randomly selected samples of 1m2 for each repetition, using the square method inventory in vine canopy projection area. The species present in the samples were identified, quantified and calculated the density and other parameters. Were observed 49 weed species during the year. The main species present and the respective densities were: 1-Stellaria media (L.) Vill. ? 39.6; 2-Galinsoga parviflora Cav. ? 36.9; 3-Veronica persicae Poir. ? 35.4; 4-Bidens pilosa L. ? 23.3; 5- Trifolium repens L. ? 14.0; 6- Lolium multiflorum Lam. ? 12.0; 7-Stachys arvensis L. ? 9.4; 8-Raphanus raphanistrum L. ? 6.1; 9-Plantago tomentosa Lam.? 5.5 e 10-Taraxacum officinalis F.G.Wingg ? 2.4.
